Position Title:
Faculty Role in Electrical and Electronics Engineering
Position Overview:
- Become a member of a vibrant team within the College of Science, Engineering, and Technology at Norfolk State University
- Deliver instruction for both graduate and undergraduate courses in electrical engineering and associated areas
- Guide students and engage in departmental initiatives aimed at program enhancement
- Engage in research that aligns with the strategic objectives of the Engineering Department
- Incorporate state-of-the-art technologies such as quantum science, artificial intelligence, and photonics into the research agenda
Key Responsibilities:
The ideal candidate will actively participate in research and educational program offerings, provide student advisement, and contribute to departmental growth initiatives.
Required Qualifications:
- A Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline is essential
- Demonstrated experience in teaching at both graduate and undergraduate levels
- A strong publication record and proven success in securing research funding
Preferred Qualifications:
- Expertise in quantum or nano-scale devices, artificial intelligence, or power electronics is highly desirable
- Familiarity with cleanroom technologies and facilities is advantageous
