Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Junior Software Developer to join our team at Understanding Recruitment. As a Junior Software Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing software applications using Java and related technologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop software applications using Java, Spring MVC, Spring Boot, and Microservices
  • Work closely with technical architects and development managers to ensure alignment with company goals
  • Contribute to testing, configuration, and release processes to ensure high-quality software delivery
  • Participate in design and implementation decisions to drive innovation and improvement
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to enhance skills and knowledge

Requirements

  • BSc in Computer Science from a Russell Group University
  • 1-3 years commercial experience with Java and web application development
  • Strong knowledge of Java, Spring MVC, Spring Boot, Microservices, and related technologies
  • Experience with cloud hosting, containerization, build tools, and XML/JSON
  • Working knowledge of at least one J2EE container, such as Tomcat
  • Bonus: frontend experience with React, Angular, or Vue
