Senior Project Manager Job Description

Simpson Booth Limited is seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Manager to lead our infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing project activities, ensuring commercial and contractual compliance, and serving as the primary point of contact for clients, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Oversee project financial and physical performance, ensuring timely completion and budget adherence.
  2. Develop and manage project teams, defining roles and responsibilities to achieve project objectives.
  3. Manage project files, documentation, and communication with stakeholders.
  4. Ensure project safety performance meets company standards and regulatory requirements.
  5. Distribute project information, standards, and criteria to relevant teams and stakeholders.
  6. Process document change orders and negotiate with clients and subcontractors as needed.
  7. Define project requirements for vendors and subcontractors, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  8. Develop and implement a SHE Management System, monitoring and improving project performance.
  9. Monitor project technical and financial performance, making adjustments as necessary to ensure project success.
  10. Plan and maintain project resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials.
  11. Ensure adherence to company policy and procedures, representing the company in all matters related to the project.
  12. Represent the company in interactions with clients and stakeholders, safeguarding client and project interests.
  13. Report any unsafe conditions or incidents in the workplace, including damaged equipment or facilities.
  14. Provide regular project performance reports, highlighting technical, contractual, financial, QA, and HSE aspects.
  15. Meet with client representatives at regular intervals to discuss project progress and address concerns.
  16. Negotiate changes in schedule, scope, or requirements with clients and subcontractors.
  17. Translate contractual requirements into work plans, schedules, and other project deliverables.
  18. Identify and mitigate project risks, developing action plans to ensure project success.
  19. Develop the discipline strategy, coordinating activities across the company.
  20. Prioritize and organize daily work, delegating tasks as necessary to ensure project objectives are met.
  21. Stop work and report any hazards or incidents in the workplace, including damaged equipment or facilities.
  22. Approve project requisitions and sign commitments within the project budget.
  23. Approve and commit subcontracts, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  24. Delegate tasks under their responsibility, exercising financial authority within defined limits.

Desired Profile & Experience:

  1. Onshore or offshore project experience, with variation in project concepts (turnkey-fabrication).
  2. Extensive financial and commercial knowledge, with experience in tender preparations.
  3. Non-project-related discipline experiences, labor relations, company management, joint ventures, and participation in company management developments.
