Nursery Nurse Job Opportunity

Staff Match is recruiting on behalf of a reputable nursery in Newcastle, Shropshire, seeking an experienced Level 3 qualified nursery nurse. If you are passionate about working with children under 5 and have a genuine desire to make a positive impact, we encourage you to apply.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as a key worker, providing high-quality care, engaging activities, and interactions to promote children's development.
  • Ensure the smooth running of daily practices, adhering to nursery policies and procedures.
  • Have a thorough understanding of EYFS and provide age-appropriate activities.
  • Be a key worker to a group of children, ensuring their individual development needs are met.
  • Conduct regular observations, assessments, and record children's development, planning next steps.
  • Attend and participate in parent-teacher meetings, nursery events, and staff meetings as required.
  • Encourage parent and carer involvement in the setting and children's learning.
  • Maintain accurate records, including accidents, incidents, and risk assessment records.
  • Ensure the playrooms and equipment are clean, well-maintained, and prepared for use.
Requirements:
  • NVQ Level 3 Childcare qualification or equivalent.
  • Basic Food Hygiene Certificate (desirable).
  • Paediatric First Aid (desirable).
  • Ability to work 40 hours per week over 4 days, Monday to Friday.
