Dewis CIL is seeking a caring and committed individual to offer assistance to a visually impaired mature female. The successful candidate will be based in the Canton area and will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for the client.

Position: Personal Support Assistant for Visually Impaired Client

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support with daily living activities at home and within the community
  • Read and manage important communications
  • Assist with various administrative duties
  • Accompany the client to social events and appointments
  • Help with shopping needs and online orders

Candidate Requirements:

  • Proficient in English, both spoken and written
  • Detail-oriented with strong observational skills
  • Good understanding of spatial awareness and color differentiation
  • Adaptable to varying work schedules
  • Possess a valid driving license and have access to a vehicle
  • Must be registered as self-employed

Additional Details:

  • This is a contracted self-employed role
  • Individuals will be responsible for their own taxes, insurance, and necessary equipment
  • Invoices for services provided will be required
  • DBS check arrangement is necessary
