Design Manager

We are seeking an experienced Design Manager to join our team at Galliford Try. As a Design Manager, you will be responsible for leading the design process for our construction projects, ensuring that they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the design process for construction projects, including the development of design briefs, design concepts, and design solutions.
- Manage and coordinate the work of design teams, including architects, engineers, and other specialists.
- Ensure that design solutions meet the needs of clients, stakeholders, and regulatory requirements.
- Develop and implement design strategies to improve the quality and efficiency of construction projects.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure that design solutions are integrated with project plans and schedules.
- Manage and mitigate design risks, including those related to cost, time, and quality.
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients, stakeholders, and design teams to ensure that design solutions meet their needs and expectations.
- Significant experience of working as a Design Manager on a variety of routine and complex projects.
- Experience of line management and leading design teams.
- Experience of managing design teams to ensure that design solutions meet the needs of clients, stakeholders, and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, stakeholders, and design teams.
- Ability to plan, organize, and project manage design projects, including the development of design briefs, design concepts, and design solutions.
- Ability to analyze and solve complex design problems, including those related to cost, time, and quality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on collaboration and communication.
