Project Financial Manager

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our team at WGM Engineering Ltd. As a key member of our project delivery team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the financial success of our projects.
Main Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
- Prepare and send tender invitations to subcontractors, ensuring that all necessary documentation is complete and accurate.
- Implement cost-saving strategies and value engineering initiatives to minimize project costs while maintaining quality standards.
- Manage cash flow forecasts and ensure that all financial obligations are met.
- Administer contracts and subcontracts, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Certify payment applications from subcontractors and ensure that all financial transactions are accurate and up-to-date.
- Compile costs for compensation events and manage changes to project scope.
- Manage change control processes, including early warnings and compensation events.
- Collaborate with project teams to avoid disputes with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
- Prepare and process formal documentation for subcontractor payments and ensure that all financial records are accurate and complete.
- Prepare valuations for payment applications to clients and assist in the compilation of commercial and contractual responses.
- Monitor and report on project expenditure compared to budgets and forecasts.
- Provide feedback to stakeholders on contract pricing and profit and loss.
- Attend financial and progress meetings with clients and subcontractors as required.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you will have at least 2-3 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in an engineering or construction environment. You will be degree-level qualified or hold a professional qualification accredited by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) or equivalent experience. You will also have strong financial cost control, value recovery, and change management skills.
