Job Title: Part Time Sports Scientist

Comunidadlift is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Part Time Sports Scientist to join our team. As a key member of our Athletic Performance department, you will play a crucial role in collecting, managing, and analyzing data to inform coaching decisions and improve player outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collect and manage performance-based data using robust protocols and software systems, including VALD, GPS, and Instrumented Mouth Guards.
  • Work closely with the medical department to track key return to performance markers and provide data-driven insights to inform coaching decisions.
  • Collaborate with the analysis department to create, understand, and explain reports that inform on-field training sessions and match-day preparations.
  • Develop and implement reports to compare training sessions and match days from both longitudinal and short-term contexts.
  • Manage large databases effectively and efficiently, utilizing Excel and other Microsoft software.
Requirements:
  • A recognized undergraduate degree in Sport & Exercise Science or a related field.
  • 2 years' experience in an athletic performance (Strength & Conditioning) position, ideally in a team sport setting.
  • Knowledge of testing, profiling, and screening athletic performance abilities of athletes.
  • Excellent computer literacy skills, particularly in Excel and other Microsoft software.
Desirable Qualities:
  • A recognized postgraduate degree in Strength & Conditioning, Human Movement, Sports & Exercise Science, or a related field.
  • Previous experience working with Power BI, Tableau, or other data visualization tools.
