Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teaching Assistant to join our team at a primary school in Littlehampton. The successful candidate will provide support to a Year 3 class, assisting with classroom preparation, small group instruction, and covering lunch duty when required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Classroom Support: Assist the Year 3 class teacher in delivering high-quality education, providing small group support for reading and writing, and helping with classroom setup and tidying.
- Student Support: Provide individualized support to students, helping them to achieve their academic goals and develop their skills.
- Administrative Tasks: Assist with administrative tasks, such as preparing materials and resources for lessons.
- Lunch Duty: Cover lunch duty when required, ensuring the safety and well-being of students during mealtime.
Requirements:
- Education and Experience: A passion for education and working with children, prior experience working with children (not necessarily in a school setting), and strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Personality and Skills: A positive and proactive approach to work, a patient and nurturing personality, and a relevant qualification in teaching or childcare (desirable but not essential).
