Job Title: Toolmaker/Die Maintenance Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Toolmaker/Die Maintenance Engineer to join our team at G-TEKT Europe Manufacturing Limited.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for working on the maintenance and repair of press tooling, including transfer and progression tools. They will also be involved in identifying and carrying out modifications to press tools where necessary, as well as new press tool making and try-out.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Promote a culture of working safely by adhering to company Health & Safety and environmental standards.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement activities, such as submitting suggestions to improve process flow and increase production cell efficiency.
  • Support 5s activities throughout the shop floor, including sorting, setting in order, shining, standardizing, and sustaining.
  • Follow instructions to ensure maximum effectiveness and adhere to safety guidelines.
  • Actively participate in training and development activities for personal and/or team development advancement.
  • Be prepared to undertake and support other reasonable requests made by the company.
  • Work in a small team unsupervised, reporting directly to the Tool Room Coordinator.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a busy factory or manufacturing environment is desirable.
  • Willingness to multi-skill and learn products and processes.
  • Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions, as well as complete required production paperwork.
  • Ability to problem solve and prioritize work to ensure tooling is ready for production demands.
  • Tool making apprenticeship or equivalent experience.

  • 25 days holiday (mostly fixed with plant shut downs) + 8 Bank holidays.
  • 37.5-hour week working Monday to Friday.
  • Paid overtime after 37.5 hours.
