We are seeking a dynamic Project Lead with a background in the maritime sector to join our team in Greenock. This role is ideal for a fabrication workshop or ship repair foreman/supervisor looking to transition into an office-based position. The successful candidate will have experience in pricing and estimating small to medium-sized work tasks and fabrication projects.
Key Responsibilities:- Plan and oversee projects both onsite and in port, which may require travel.
- Agree contract/project objectives and scopes of work with clients.
- Supervise large squads of multiple trades in the completion of complex scopes of repair works, including steelwork, piping, and general engineering.
- Organize sub-contractors carrying out on-site works.
- Ensure project time and budget requirements are met.
- A background in Oil & Gas, Renewables, Large Fabrication Projects, or offshore vessels would be advantageous.
- Service company experience, ideally with companies dealing with vessels, marine equipment, maintenance, or overhauls.
- Familiarity with the renewable aspects of the marine industry will give you a competitive edge.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Word at an intermediate/advanced level.
- Ability to work in a busy and challenging repair shipyard/dry dock environment.
- Willingness to travel to other yards operated by the company or remote locations dictated by the customer.
- 25 days holiday per year plus an additional 9 local/public holidays.
