About the Role

NUPAS Ltd is seeking an experienced and skilled Operating Surgeon to join their expanding medical team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality surgical care to patients, ensuring a safe and effective abortion pathway.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out medical assessments and provide abortion care services, including contraceptive advice and provision.
  • Work collaboratively with the pre-operative team to ensure safe and efficient patient care.
  • Advise patients on complication rates and potential risks associated with treatments.
  • Ensure patients are fully informed and aware of all important issues relating to treatment and aftercare.
  • Monitor and audit quality clinical practice, including the delivery of audit and direct observation of peers.
  • Develop and maintain safe systems of work, ensuring compliance with NUPAS policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • At least three years' experience in gynaecology or reproductive and sexual health care.
  • Experience of independent practice for abortion procedures, or willingness to be trained in-house.
  • GMC full registration with no restrictions to work in the UK.
  • Membership of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (MRCOG).
