Accounts Clerk

Job Summary:

Sphere Solutions is seeking a skilled Accounts Assistant to join their team. As an Accounts Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the financial function of a busy construction company.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with the accounts function, including financial reporting and analysis
• Prepare and submit VAT reports and returns
• Process CIS subcontractor payments and manage the purchase ledger
• Manage large payments and billing, ensuring timely and accurate processing
• Support the payroll process, including invoicing and applications
• Onboard new starters, ensuring a smooth transition into the company

Requirements:

• Relevant experience in a similar industry, preferably with a construction company
• AAT accreditation or working towards
• Proven experience with payroll, CIS payments, and purchase ledger management
• Proficiency in using Sage and/or XERO accounting software
