Global Banking School is seeking a Study Skills Lecturer to support our students in developing effective learning strategies. The successful candidate will deliver workshops and one-on-one sessions focusing on academic skills, including writing, research, time management, and exam preparation. A passion for student support and success is essential.
Main Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with academic teams to design and deliver study skills programs, ensuring current and relevant skills are consistently delivered across GBS.
- Develop and evaluate teaching materials, digital resources, and workshop plans to enhance the quality of teaching and learning.
- Provide individual and group study skills support, including assignment guidance and feedback, to students from diverse backgrounds.
- Maintain accurate records and monitor student attendance to ensure compliance with GBS's Learning and Teaching strategy.
- Participate in and lead CPD to maintain currency in specialist areas and inclusive teaching practices.
- Engage with VLE and research resources to facilitate students' learning and provide constructive feedback on individual and class progress.
Requirements:
- Master's degree and/or a PhD in the relevant area.
- Successful track record of teaching adult learners from diverse backgrounds on HE programs.
- Proven experience of providing individual and group study skills support in response to identified learning needs.
- High level of digital literacy and advanced communication skills.
