Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team at a leading food packaging organization. This is a permanent role based in a vibrant warehouse environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Efficiently manage the movement and storage of materials and products throughout the facility.
  • Prepare finished goods for dispatch to clients, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Utilize various Mechanical Handling Equipment, including:
    • Counterbalance Forklifts (mandatory)
    • Bendi Forklifts (training provided for dedicated candidates)
    • Pivot Steer Forklifts
    • Ride-on Powered Pallet Trucks
    • Scissor Lifts (not a requirement for all)
Operational Duties

As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for:

  • Using RF handheld devices to accurately document stock movements.
  • Receiving and storing raw materials and finished products, ensuring the accuracy of deliveries.
  • Recording movements into designated storage locations.
Shift Patterns

The work schedule will initially follow a standard Monday to Friday pattern from 8 am to 4 pm for training. Subsequently, the shift rotation will include:

  • 4 weeks of day shifts (6 am - 6 pm)
  • 2 weeks of night shifts (6 pm - 6 am)

Note: Sunday is considered the first day of the week, resulting in 48 hours of pay in the first week and 36 hours in the second.

Compensation

The hourly wage for this position is £13.37, inclusive of shift allowances, with a commitment to full training for the right candidate.
