Cloud Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Engineer to join our team at Matched. As a Cloud Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining our cloud infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the availability of core business services, including cloud-based services, build environments, and microservices.
  • Monitor critical infrastructure to ensure any issues are proactively identified and resolved before they cause any issues for the business.
  • Research, design, test, and deploy new platform solutions to support and grow the internal infrastructure to meet business needs.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to cross-train and deploy new products and technologies to continuously improve efficiencies.
  • Ensure the security and availability of intellectual property and business-critical services, including the E-commerce site, cloud services, and maintenance of backup and disaster recovery processes.

Requirements:

  • Commercial Linux experience, including configuration and maintenance.
  • Commercial cloud experience (AWS, GCP, or Azure), including creation, configuration, and maintenance of load balancing, VPCs.
  • Scripting experience, including Bash, PowerShell, and Python.
  • Configuration management using Ansible and Terraform.
  • Strong collaboration and team working skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
