Job Summary:

As a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the development and implementation of mechanical systems, ensuring optimal performance, energy efficiency, and adherence to industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with clients as the main point of contact for projects, while leading and supporting consultants to ensure the most effective fulfilment of client interests.
  • Develop detailed specifications, calculations, and drawings for mechanical systems, ensuring compliance with relevant codes, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Perform energy modelling and analysis to optimise energy efficiency and sustainability of mechanical systems.
  • Effectively distribute project workload and liaise with technical and other support staff to ensure acceptable product delivery.
  • Manage multiple projects, including organisation of trainee staff and project delivery to time and cost requirements.
  • Provide guidance to junior engineers by ensuring quality and accuracy of design deliverables.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in a building services consultancy with experience in healthcare projects.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound engineering judgments.
  • Competent in AutoCad and knowledge of Revit.
