Estimator/Quoter

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to join the estimating team of a large and successful aerospace precision engineering company. As an Estimator, you will play a key role in creating and submitting quotations and tender bids on complex Military and aerospace parts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Estimate costs and lead times for 3, 4, and 5-axis machining, fabrication, and sub-assembly projects.
• Collate information and costs on materials and treatments to prepare bids and quotes.
• Work closely with various areas of the business to understand technical challenges, capacity, lead times, and materials availability.
• Use your knowledge of CNC Machining/precision engineering, materials, and processes to improve the efficiency of the estimating team.
• Build strong business relationships with customers and secure a wide range of profitable work for the business.

Requirements:

• Previous experience as an estimator or cost engineer in a precision engineering environment, ideally in aerospace manufacturing.
• Proficiency with Excel/Access and MS Office programs.
• Strong understanding of CNC Machining and precision engineering principles.
