Youth Support Worker

A rewarding opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Youth Worker to join our specialist school in Wokingham. The role involves supporting students with social, emotional, and mental health needs, as well as learning difficulties.
About the Role:As a Youth Worker, you will be responsible for providing individualized support to students aged 2-19, helping them to develop essential life skills and achieve their full potential.
You will work closely with a supportive and friendly team to create a safe and inclusive environment, where students feel valued and respected.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide emotional support and guidance to students with complex needs
- Develop and implement individualized support plans to meet the needs of each student
- Work collaboratively with teachers and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to student support
- Contribute to the development of a positive and inclusive school culture
To be successful in this role, you will need to be a kind and compassionate individual with excellent communication skills. You will also need to be able to problem-solve well and adapt your approach to meet the needs of each student.
A strong understanding of safeguarding principles and practices is essential, as is the ability to maintain confidentiality and work in a sensitive and discreet manner.
