Role Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Heavy Goods Vehicle Mechanic to join our team at the Cramlington facility. The successful candidate will work on a diverse fleet, engaging in various tasks including:
- Fault diagnostics
- Servicing and repairs
- Breakdown recovery
- MOT preparation and presentation
- Comprehensive vehicle overhauls, including engine and gearbox repairs
Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidate will be a dependable and trustworthy professional capable of working independently and efficiently under pressure. Applicants should possess:
- A minimum of 2 years of post-qualification experience in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance/Repairs
- A Level 3 qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance/Repairs or equivalent experience
- A Class 1 HGV Licence is advantageous
Working Hours:
This role operates on a 45-hour weekly schedule with a two-shift pattern:
- Week 1: 07:00 to 16:30
- Week 2: 09:30 to 19:00, plus Saturday morning
Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is up to £41,418. Overtime is available at a rate starting from £23.01 per hour. Technicians are also eligible for a first-time MOT pass bonus of approximately £60 per month, along with standby callout fees of £60 plus a minimum of 2 hours overtime.
