Commercial Financial Analyst, Media Sector

Key Responsibilities:

  • Upholding the company's vision and standards across both commercial and financial domains.
  • Assisting the Finance Manager in ensuring the efficient and effective management of the agency's financial operations.
  • Preparing various forecasts, accounting reports, and analyses to support management's planning and decision-making processes.
  • Maintaining a thorough understanding of the agency's financial structure, objectives, and vision.
  • Assessing the financial health of the organization and providing actionable recommendations.
  • Contributing to the preparation of group budgets, forecasts, and revisions.
  • Conducting variance analysis by comparing historical results with forecasts and suggesting enhancements.
  • Generating weekly financial reports and producing summary data as needed.
  • Managing cash flow and foreign exchange planning.
  • Reconciling and advising on existing foreign currency transactions and contracts.
  • Performing analysis on company and client metrics, including growth, profitability, efficiency, and affordability.
  • Preparing reports to facilitate strategic decision-making during senior management meetings.
  • Collaborating with client services and senior management to provide the necessary analysis and commercial insights for requests for information (RFIs) and client inquiries.
  • Supporting department heads with analyses related to utilization and client profitability.
  • Working closely with the finance team to enhance and refine financial processes.
  • Conducting data management of the project management system to ensure accurate reporting.
  • Analyzing projects to verify the accuracy of rate cards and exchange rates, providing advice as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Recently qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA).
  • A minimum of 3 years experience in a media or marketing agency environment.
  • Prior experience in financial planning and analysis roles.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management capabilities.
  • Ability to thrive in a proactive, fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in multitasking and responding to dynamic demands.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build effective internal relationships.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including proficiency in v-lookups and pivot tables.
