We are seeking a dedicated and proactive individual to join our team as a Cancer Care Support Specialist. This role is integral to enhancing the support provided to patients navigating the complexities of cancer diagnosis and treatment.
Role Summary
The Cancer Care Support Specialist will be responsible for coordinating care for patients diagnosed with cancer, ensuring they receive comprehensive support throughout their journey. This position is part-time, requiring 25 hours per week on a fixed-term contract for 12 months. The salary is calculated on a pro-rata basis, reflecting the part-time nature of the role.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist patients in understanding their cancer diagnosis and the subsequent steps in their care pathway.
- Facilitate communication between patients, healthcare providers, and support services to ensure seamless care.
- Support the implementation of cancer screening initiatives within the community.
