Warehouse Operative Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Warehouse Operative to join our team at TJ Morris' distribution centre in Amesbury, Wiltshire. As a Warehouse Operative, you will play a crucial role in the day-to-day operations of our warehouse, ensuring that all items are picked and loaded correctly for store delivery.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Picking and Loading: Safely pick and load items into cages ready for store delivery, ensuring all items are picked as per order and loaded correctly.
  • Maintaining Cleanliness: Maintain clean working practices and contribute to a safe and healthy working environment.
  • Target Achievement: Work towards achievement of pick rate and other targets, ensuring efficient and effective warehouse operations.

Working Conditions: This is a physically demanding role, requiring you to cover large distances by foot (up to 15,000 steps per day). However, the automated picking system will provide you with the shortest and quickest route to each item that is required to be picked.
