About the Role

Campden BRI is seeking a highly skilled Quality Specialist to join our Analytical Chemistry department. As a Quality Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality management systems are up-to-date and compliant with industry standards.

Main Responsibilities
  • Quality Management System Updates: Ensure the Quality Management System is regularly updated to meet the principles and requirements of Campden BRI's Management System and Management Standards ISO 9001 and 17025.
  • Compliance Promotion: Raise awareness and promote compliance with the Departmental Management Systems through effective communication throughout the department.
  • Internal Audits: Monitor and facilitate the implementation of Management System requirements via internal audit.
  • Compliance Reporting: Advise the Associate Director on the status of compliance, trends in non-conformances, and issues relevant to the implementation of systems.
  • Follow-up Actions: Perform internal audits and work on follow-up actions.
Requirements
  • Experience: Experience of working within a Laboratory to UKAS 17025 quality standards.
  • Administration: Administration experience of business management processes and their implementation, with a good knowledge of formal standards including ISO 9001 and 17025.
  • Communication: Ability to communicate effectively at all levels, both verbally and in writing, and to influence staff outside their line management structure.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational/planning/co-ordination experience and skill in quality, technical, or scientific roles.
  • IT Skills: Use of IT systems and software, including Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and survey management software.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Good team player who is friendly, enthusiastic, innovative, and enterprising, with good interpersonal skills and able to gain the trust and cooperation of staff across the Division.
  • Diplomacy: Diplomatic and objective with a can-do attitude.
