Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Groundsperson to join our team at the University of Bristol. As a Groundsperson, you will be responsible for maintaining, enhancing, and developing our diverse landscapes, including historic and modern properties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and enhance the University's green spaces and grounds to ensure they are welcoming, accessible, safe, and aesthetically pleasing.
- Work within a team to deliver a professional grounds service, including grassland management, strimming, leaf clearance, street cleaning, and arboriculture work.
- Perform winter services, including gritting and snow clearance, and assist with event preparation.
- Adhere to Health and Safety protocols and maintain a high level of self-motivation and adaptability.
- Collaborate with other grounds and horticultural teams across the estate.
Requirements:
- Awareness of the environment and ability to adapt to changing conditions.
- Proven flexible and adaptable attitude with a high degree of self-motivation.
- Good attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks safely.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Full driving license and ideally certificates of competence such as PA1 & PA6.
