About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Recovery Navigator to join our team at Second Step, a leading mental health charity in the South West. As a Senior Recovery Navigator, you will play a key role in supporting individuals with mental health needs, providing guidance and supervision to our team, and contributing to the development of our services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert guidance and supervision to our Recovery Navigators, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge to support individuals with mental health needs.
  • Work closely with our team to develop and implement effective support plans, taking a holistic approach to meet the needs of our service users.
  • Contribute to the development of our services, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to enhance the quality of our support.
  • Build strong relationships with our service users, carers, and families, providing emotional support and guidance to help them achieve their recovery goals.
  • Work collaboratively with our Senior Operations Manager and Team Managers to monitor and evaluate our services, ensuring we are delivering high-quality support that meets the needs of our service users.

Requirements

  • Significant experience of working with individuals with mental health needs, including needs assessments and support planning.
  • Proven experience of supervising staff, students, or volunteers, with a strong track record of developing and supporting teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with service users, carers, and colleagues.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to meet the changing needs of our service users.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
