The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Field Service Engineer to join our team. As a Medical Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for the service, installation, breakdown, repair, and calibration of a wide range of sophisticated medical laboratory diagnostics systems.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Providing technical support to customers and ensuring that their diagnostic equipment is functioning correctly.
  2. Installing and commissioning new diagnostic systems, and ensuring that they are fully operational and compliant with regulatory requirements.
  3. Performing routine maintenance and repairs on diagnostic equipment, and ensuring that all work is carried out to the highest standards.
  4. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues and improve diagnostic system performance.
Your Background

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  1. A strong background in a customer-facing field service engineering capacity, gained within a high-value capital equipment environment.
  2. Experience of working with a wide range of diagnostic systems, including autoimmune diagnostics, immunology, biochemistry, haematology, histology, microbiology, and immunodiagnostics systems.
  3. A qualification in engineering, electronics, or a science-based subject to a minimum of ONC level.
  4. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
