Commissioning Engineer

Contract Type: Outside IR35

Location: Redditch

Job Overview:

The Commissioning Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the commissioning process of projects, ensuring that all systems and equipment are correctly set up and commissioned to meet project requirements. This role demands a focus on safety, health, environment, and quality (SHEQ) while managing the technical and operational aspects of commissioning.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality (SHEQ)
    • Monitor and review supply chain performance against KPIs and KPMs.
    • Develop and implement initiatives to enhance SHEQ behaviours and standards.
  2. General Management
    • Liaise with design teams, suppliers, and sub-contractors to ensure equipment is fully set up and commissioned.
    • Utilize technical input and expertise efficiently.
    • Ensure equipment is Factory Acceptance Tested (FAT) and snag-free before site delivery.
    • Produce regular reports for senior management.
    • Contribute to the overall project program.
    • Ensure accurate capture of installation, testing, and commissioning data.
    • Ensure installations and commissioning are of high quality and snag-free.
  3. Client Facing
    • Participate in site surveys of systems and equipment.
    • Maintain strong client relationships.

This role requires a strong technical background and excellent communication skills to effectively manage the commissioning process and ensure successful project delivery.
