Your Role and Responsibilities
We are seeking a skilled Solicitor to enhance our medical negligence team, based in our Leeds office. This full-time position requires at least two days of in-office work each week.
The successful applicant will work under the guidance of Partner Sarah Coles, specializing in medical law and managing a diverse portfolio of intricate and high-value cases, including cerebral palsy, brain injuries, spinal injuries, Erb's palsy, amputations, and misdiagnosis. You will be responsible for managing your own caseload while also providing support to senior colleagues on more complex matters. Your role will involve overseeing cases from inception to resolution, utilizing your analytical and commercial acumen to identify critical issues and propose effective solutions for our clients. Whenever feasible, you will aim to secure interim payments to facilitate early support for clients, including rehabilitation services, care packages, and suitable accommodation.

About You
We are looking for a Solicitor with a genuine passion for medical negligence and a solid track record in handling high-value cases. The ideal candidate will possess:
- A qualification as a solicitor or legal executive with 2-6 years of post-qualification experience;
- The capability to engage with clients and provide sound legal counsel;
- Demonstrable technical expertise in medical negligence;
- Experience assisting senior colleagues with complex, high-value cases;
- The ability to manage a personal caseload while ensuring meticulous attention to detail and a seamless client experience;
- The capacity to work independently and collaboratively within a team to achieve optimal outcomes for clients;
