About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Electrical Design Engineer to join our team in the water industry. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing technical leadership and expertise in the design and delivery of electrical systems for water treatment facilities, pumping stations, and associated infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical oversight and delivery of multi-disciplinary projects, taking on the role of Design Lead as assigned.
  • Lead the design and advisory services for new and existing water and wastewater treatment facilities, pumping stations, and associated infrastructure.
  • Identify and cultivate innovative and optimised technical solutions aligned with client requirements and objectives.
  • Coordinate and lead collaborative efforts within multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with clients and partners in capital alliances.
  • Ensure projects adhere to requisite technical, legislative, quality, safety, and environmental standards and objectives.
  • Act as a mentor and technical supervisor for other team members.
  • Oversee line management and performance development responsibilities for designated staff.
Requirements
  • Extensive expertise in the technical execution of process plant systems within intricate water industry engineering ventures.
  • Proficiency in participating in design and construction initiatives utilising digital design methodologies.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, fostering a collaborative environment within teams.
  • Substantial experience in the water and/or wastewater sectors.
  • Preferably degree qualified in Electrical Engineering or a relevant technical subject. Postgraduate qualifications are an advantage.
  • Affiliation with a professional institution like IET, InstMC, or CIWEM, or in the process of working towards membership and nearing application.
