About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Personal Care Assistant to join our team at Health Your Way. As a Personal Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting an individual with epilepsy, autism, and learning disabilities, promoting their independence and overall well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide assistance with all aspects of personal care, including daily living activities and medication management.
  • Support the individual in maintaining their routine and daily schedule, including meal preparation and household chores.
  • Encourage and facilitate the individual's participation in activities they enjoy, such as visiting pubs, cafes, and theaters.
  • Assist with transportation and accompany the individual on outings, including bus travel and overnight respite breaks.
  • Provide emotional support and companionship, promoting a sense of calm and well-being.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in 1:1 support, preferably with individuals with epilepsy.
  • Flexibility in working hours, with the ability to work a 24-hour period.
  • Full and clean driving license.
  • Enhanced DBS check (cost met by the employer).
What We Offer
  • Competitive hourly rate of £12.01.
