Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing bespoke FPGAs for various industries. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of innovative electronic devices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop a range of FPGAs using industry-standard tools and technologies.
  • Integrate and test digital equipment to ensure high-quality performance.
  • Build scripting to support continuous integration and improve development efficiency.
  • Produce HDL code for VITA-49 or similar network protocols to meet customer requirements.
  • Design and develop test benches to prove VHDL code and ensure reliability.
  • Integrate firmware into application design to enhance functionality.
  • Provide technical support to clients and the wider engineering team to ensure seamless collaboration.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a FPGA role is essential, with a strong understanding of FPGA synthesis tools such as Synplify, Vivado, Quartus, or Mentor.
  • Industry experience of RFSOC/MPSOC is a must, with a proven track record of implementing communications stacks including TCP/IP.
  • Extensive experience of writing FPGA test benches and Linux system configuration is required.
  • FPGA code design, synthesis, implementation, and test are essential skills, as well as experience with DSP Algorithms.
  • C/C++/Rust programming skills would be advantageous, as would excellent communication skills and a team player attitude.
  • A keen interest in new technologies is a must for this role.
