Bis Henderson is pleased to present a remarkable opportunity for a Logistics Operations Supervisor to become part of a dedicated team at a specialized fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) organization located in Dartford.
In the role of Logistics Operations Supervisor, you will oversee operational processes and lead a small group of personnel.
The ideal candidate will champion best practices and foster ongoing enhancements within their designated area, taking an active role in mentoring and supporting their team members to reach their maximum potential.
This organization is committed to the growth of its workforce, making it particularly appealing for individuals who are ambitious and eager to advance to a managerial position.
This position operates on a Monday to Friday schedule during daytime hours, with occasional weekend shifts.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Oversee the intake and dispatch of products in accordance with client requirements, ensuring that both individual and team performance metrics are achieved.
- Guarantee that all stock is accurately tracked and appropriately stored.
- Manage personnel; inspire the team, allocate tasks, conduct pre-shift briefings, hold one-on-one meetings, and address any human resources-related matters.
- Actively promote continuous improvement and lead transformations aligned with organizational goals.
- Uphold a tidy and secure working environment, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
Essential Skills/Experience:
- Prior experience in team management within a warehouse setting.
- Strong communication and leadership abilities, capable of guiding and supporting the team to meet objectives.
- Ability to cultivate a culture of safety and ongoing improvement.
- Excellent problem-solving capabilities and the ability to take initiative.
- Familiarity with health and safety protocols and procedures.
