About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Sanctuary Group. As a key member of our facilities team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our residents and staff, as well as maintaining the overall presentation of our care homes and gardens.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular health and safety checks to create a safe environment for everyone, including fire alarm, water flushing, and bed safety checks.
  • Engage with residents, their families, and colleagues through effective communication and collaboration.
  • Liaise with contractors, coordinate their services, and ensure that work is completed to a high standard.
  • Occasionally visit other homes to provide cover or as part of planned maintenance activities.

Requirements

  • Practical skills in recognizing and performing minor repairs, including basic plumbing skills and DIY experience.
  • Fundamental knowledge of health and safety protocols, including familiarity with Legionella disease.
  • A valid driver's license and access to personal transportation.
  • Ability to use an iPad or laptop and compliance applications.
