We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Substance Misuse Nurse to join our Primary Care team at HMP Long Lartin, a male prison serving life sentences with a capacity for 690 inmates.
Key Responsibilities- Prioritize patient care to develop individualized packages of care through comprehensive assessment and recovery planning.
- Deliver a range of treatment options, including clinical and psychosocial interventions, in both group and one-on-one settings, with recovery at the center of our healthcare wellbeing model.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments, initiate and review individual recovery plans, and confidently communicate the full range of treatment options available to service users.
- Monitor therapeutic responses to medication and potential side effects, and liaise with prescribers.
- Support in group work delivery and liaise with prescribers and Recovery Practitioners on clinical interventions.
- Encourage patient involvement in regime and therapeutic activities and create a physical and psychological environment conducive to high-quality care.
- A competitive annual salary up to £38,115 per annum FTE, depending on experience.
