Job Title: Compliance Engineer

We are seeking a highly organized and methodical Compliance Engineer to join our team at Omega Resource Group. As a key member of our organization, you will play a pivotal role in re-establishing our compliance and standardization department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish and coordinate our ATEX Ex project, working closely with the Engineering team and Group product compliance manager to create and manage a robust project plan.
  • Develop and embed standard certification processes and procedures for assessing and certifying our current and future products.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Operations and Engineering Manager to develop a standards department, identifying improvement opportunities and establishing joined-up business processes for revision control, obsolescence, and superseding of all drawings.
  • Manage all engineering-associated documented procedures and guidance notes, ensuring compliance and conformity with regulatory requirements.
  • Control revisions, obsolescence, and superseding of all drawings, ensuring all departments have clarity of current standards/latest revisions at all times.
  • Align all Engineering NCRs, ECRs, and CAPAs and embed into the Standards department.
Requirements:
  • Experience of working in a mechanical & electrical parts and assemblies' business.
  • Experience of and/or understanding of Machinery compliance (ATEX, EMC, LVD, CE) or equivalent.
  • Highly organized and methodical approach, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Creative, practical problem solver with a proven track record of success in similar roles.
Health and Safety Responsibilities:
  • Compliance with policies and procedures, including adherence to safe working practices and use of safety equipment and personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
  • Reporting and communication of health and safety concerns, hazards, or near-misses to management.
  • Participation in health and safety discussions and contribution to improving workplace safety.
