Allen Lane is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Special Education Needs Lawyer to join their team. As a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of England and Wales or Chartered Legal Executive, you will be responsible for providing legal advice and representation to clients in matters related to Special Education Needs and Education Law.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert legal advice on SEN and education-related law, including interpretation and application of relevant legislation.
- Conduct case files, draft pleadings, and witness statements, and represent clients in court and tribunal proceedings.
- Conduct legal research, interpret legislation, and summarize key points of case law.
- Develop and maintain knowledge of local government law, particularly in relation to Education Law, Judicial Review, FOI/DPA.
Requirements:
- At least two years post-qualification experience, preferably gained in a Local Authority setting.
- Knowledge and understanding of the legal framework and operation of Local Government.
