We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Complex Care Assistant to join our team at Retain Healthcare. As a key member of our care team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support to our clients with complex needs.
Key Responsibilities- Remain vigilant and alert throughout your shift to ensure the safety and well-being of our clients.
- Conduct regular health and welfare checks to identify any potential issues.
- Support clients with their personal care needs, including bathing, dressing, and toileting.
- Assist clients in achieving their personal outcomes and goals.
- Administer medication as prescribed by healthcare professionals.
- Operate moving and assisting equipment, such as ceiling track hoists and electric wheelchairs, to facilitate client mobility.
- Encourage clients to maintain their independence and autonomy.
- At least 1 year of experience in complex care is essential.
- Knowledge of PEG feeding and oxygen therapy is desirable.
- GCSE maths and English or equivalent qualifications are required.
- A full UK driving license is mandatory.
- Comfortable working with cats and in environments with smoke.
