About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Robotics Engineering Leader to join our team at Cellular Origins, a leading company in the field of bioprocess automation. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of robotics and automation solutions for our cell therapy manufacturing process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design, development, and testing of robotics and automation systems for cell therapy manufacturing
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of robotics and automation systems into our Constellation system
  • Develop and implement engineering and testing plans to ensure high-quality and efficient robotics and automation solutions
  • Communicate progress and ensure the robotics team is appropriately resourced
  • Apply project management principles to ensure plans are executed on time and to a high quality
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline with extensive industry experience
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams, ideally using agile methodologies
  • Hands-on experience working with industrial state-of-the-art robotics, including AMRs and 6-DoF arms, and advanced sensing including machine vision
  • High proficiency in Python or C++ with familiarity for CI/CD methods
  • Proficient in mechanical and electrical engineering
  • Familiarity with industrial, networked communication protocols (e.g. MQTT), along with robotic prototyping software such as ROS 1 or 2
  • Strong collaborative nature to work alongside and integrate with other technical groups within Cellular Origins and third parties
