Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Avionics B2 Inspector to join our team at Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation. As an Avionics B2 Inspector, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with maintenance, inspection, and legislative standards as specified by EASA and the Quality and Airworthiness Manager.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Inspect and Certify Aircraft: Act as an inspector in support of a specific aircraft, line, or base maintenance input in accordance with MOE Part 146, as revised.
  2. Lead Maintenance Teams: Perform the day-to-day duties and responsibilities of a Maintenance Team Leader, when requested by a Service Team Manager.
  3. Manage Manpower Resources: When requested by a Maintenance Team Leader or Service Team Manager, manage the daily management of the manpower resources, consisting of licensed mechanical and avionics inspectors and fitters, as assigned to a specific aircraft line or base maintenance input.
  4. Certify Tasks: Certify those tasks that you have been trained on and authorized to perform, including inspecting and certifying at both Luton main base and other locations worldwide.
  5. Meet Commitments: Promote and ensure that aircraft line or base maintenance commitments that you are assigned to are fulfilled within the assigned time scale.
  6. Document Maintenance: Promote and ensure that all aircraft maintenance documentation relevant to the work that you have personally performed or supervised is completed fully, including all task stage requirements before the end of each shift or your reassignment to another work task, during the same shift.
Additional Responsibilities
  1. Strategic Position: Understand and share the strategic position of the department in relation to Product Support.
  2. Advising Management: Advise the STM of any difficulties or shortcomings that may be experienced through performing departmental duties.
  3. Departmental Measures: Awareness and understanding of departmental measures in place for the monitoring of department goals, product delivery, and quality.
  4. Maintaining Departmental Success: Maintaining personal and departmental husbandry to ensure continued department success.
  5. Handovers: Ensuring handovers are carried out as required to ensure work flow.
  6. Stand-up Board Meetings: Attending Stand-up Board meetings as required to roll out performance communications and discussions.
  7. Other Duties: Such other duties as may be, from time to time, delegated by the STM or Department Manager.
  8. Quality of Workmanship: Promote and ensure that the quality of workmanship in the final product is to a standard acceptable to the EASA and the UK CAA.
Requirements
  1. Extensive Experience: Extensive combination of line and base maintenance experience.
  2. Aircraft Inspection Experience: Evidence of aircraft inspection and certification experience gained during the above extensive line and base aircraft work experience.
  3. Corporate Experience: Experience within the corporate industry an advantage.
  4. Aviation Legislation: Good working knowledge of Aviation Legislation.
  5. Communication Skills: Good verbal and written communication skills.
  6. Computer Skills: Good practical computer user skills.
  7. Flexibility: Flexible approach to working patterns.
  8. Organization: Able to demonstrate a well-organized approach to daily job tasks.
