Your New Role

The Building Maintenance Technician will report directly to the Utility Supervisor. This role encompasses the dependable and compliant management of the comprehensive Building and Utility Services and equipment that support all sectors of our facilities. The Technician plays a vital role in maintaining the integrity, safety, and functionality of the infrastructure, which includes office spaces, laboratories, and production lines. The primary duties involve overseeing the upkeep, repair, and enhancement of building structures to ensure adherence to regulatory standards and operational effectiveness.

What We Are Looking For

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Proven experience in building maintenance or facilities management, ideally within a regulated industry.
  • Relevant vocational qualifications in building maintenance, engineering, or a related discipline.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Experience in identifying and resolving building fabric issues.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and standards applicable to building maintenance in the pharmaceutical sector.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Experience with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and water systems.
  • Prior experience in a GxP or other regulated environments is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
  • Certifications in relevant trades such as carpentry, plumbing, or electrical work.
