Nursery Cook

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nursery Cook to join our team at Green Park Day Nursery in Reading. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a range of meals for our children, ensuring high standards of quality and safety.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for cooking and a commitment to providing healthy and nutritious meals for our children. You will work closely with our existing Cook and Kitchen Assistant to maintain a clean, safe, and tidy kitchen environment, adhering to COSHH and allergy management protocols.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Preparing and cooking meals for our children, using fresh and seasonal ingredients
- Maintaining accurate records of temperature checks, allergy management, and food wastage
- Working collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure a smooth and efficient service
- Managing a budget and championing healthy eating initiatives
