Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Policy and Public Affairs Advisor to join our team at The Woman's Trust. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in shaping our policy agenda and stakeholder outreach program.

About the Role

The successful candidate will work closely with our CEO, Senior Communications Manager, and Research and Data Team to design, manage, and deliver a cutting-edge policy agenda and stakeholder outreach program. Your primary objective will be to generate more awareness of our work, capitalizing on our unique position in the women's and mental health sectors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive policy agenda that aligns with our organizational goals and objectives.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government officials, policymakers, and industry leaders.
  • Design and deliver stakeholder outreach programs that promote our work and influence public policy.
  • Collaborate with our Research and Data Team to inform policy decisions and develop evidence-based advocacy strategies.
  • Work with our Communications Team to develop and implement a communications plan that supports our policy agenda.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong understanding of policy development and stakeholder engagement.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working in a similar role, preferably in the non-profit sector.
