Job Title: Research Officer - Competition Economics

Location: London

GB045 NERA UK Limited is a global firm of experts dedicated to applying economics, finance, and quantitative principles to complex business and legal challenges. With over 60 years of experience, our economists have been creating strategies, studies, reports, expert testimony, and policy recommendations for regulatory authorities, governments, and the world's leading law firms and corporations.

We are seeking master's graduates to support our Competition Practice based in London. As a Research Officer, you will play a key role in our team, working on high-profile cases at the UK, EU, and global level.

About the Role:
  • Conduct literature research and data analysis, spanning from simple descriptive analysis to more complex econometric analysis.
  • Collaborate with your project team and be responsible for your own pieces of analysis.
  • Interpret the results of your analysis and present your findings to the team and clients.
  • Participate in drafting reports, memoranda, presentations, and other work products.
Requirements:
  • A BA/BSc and a Master's or PhD in Economics or related discipline with exceptional academic records.
  • Experience with quantitative research and programming using quantitative software.
  • Proficiency in Excel, R, or Stata.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
  • Ability to work effectively individually and in teams.
