About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Associate Solicitor to join our Data Protection team at Sheridans. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing expert advice on data protection and commercial matters to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drafting and reviewing agreements and legal documents related to data protection and commercial law
  • Assessing clients' data uses and providing guidance on compliance with data protection regulations
  • Advising clients on data protection and commercial matters, including software licensing, distribution, and agency agreements
  • Negotiating with counterparts on behalf of clients
  • Marketing and business development to promote our data protection services
Requirements
  • 3-5 years of post-qualification experience as a Solicitor in England and Wales
  • Experience in data protection and commercial law, including software licensing, distribution, and agency agreements
  • Strong understanding of data protection regulations, including the UK GDPR
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience of liaising with senior internal stakeholders and clients
  • Ability to work confidentially and remain discreet at all times
  • Flexibility to work out of regular hours at busy times
