Job Summary
As a Design Certification Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our aircraft designs meet the stringent regulatory requirements of aviation authorities. You will be responsible for performing design and certification tasks, gathering and organizing engineering data, and collaborating with internal teams to achieve project goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute engineering tasks for design modifications and repairs, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Create, update, and manage engineering documentation for projects, maintaining accuracy and completeness.
- Review and compile design change documentation for certification approval, adhering to established procedures.
- Generate comprehensive certification data to demonstrate compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including engineers, technicians, and regulatory specialists.
- Stay abreast of evolving industry regulations and best practices, ensuring continuous improvement in design processes.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background in electrical or avionics engineering, coupled with experience in the aviation industry. A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field is required. Experience working within a DOA environment and obtaining CVE authorization is highly desirable.
Skills and Experience
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, CATIA, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Familiarity with PLM and SmarTeam software.
- In-depth understanding of UK CAA and airworthiness requirements, as well as EASA and FAA regulations.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
