Job Title:
Senior Cost Estimator - Civil Engineering

Location:
Shaftesbury, UK

Salary:
£50,000-£60,000 per annum

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop comprehensive financial assessments and oversee project budgets for construction initiatives.
  • Execute risk assessment, value management, and financial oversight activities.
  • Supervise the acquisition of materials and subcontracting services.
  • Prepare and evaluate financial proposals for tenders and contractual agreements.
  • Administer contracts, including the negotiation of terms and conditions.
  • Track and report on project advancements, managing any alterations or adjustments.
  • Compile and present final financial statements.
  • Collaborate with project leaders, site supervisors, and clients to ensure effective project execution.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience as a Cost Estimator in the construction sector, ideally within civil engineering and groundwork.
  • In-depth understanding of construction techniques and materials.
  • Exceptional numerical and analytical capabilities.
  • Proficient in utilizing relevant software and tools.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Capacity to manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • Professional certification in Cost Estimation or a related discipline is advantageous.
