Job Title: Class 2 Driver

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Class 2 Driver to join our team at People Solutions Group. As a Class 2 Driver, you will be responsible for delivering construction materials to various locations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive Class 2 vehicles for the delivery of construction materials
  • Conduct pre and post-journey vehicle checks
  • Ensure timely delivery to customers and depots
  • Load and unload construction materials
  • Complete delivery paperwork and logs accurately
  • Operate the vehicle in accordance with all legal and company safety requirements
  • Follow assigned delivery routes while adhering to time schedules
  • Communicate with the logistics team regarding any delays or issues on the road
Requirements:
  • Valid UK Category C driving licence (held for a minimum of two years)
  • Valid CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence)
  • Valid digital tachograph card (Digi Card)
  • Good understanding of driving safety and regulations
  • Good time management and communication skills
  • Physically fit and capable of handling goods if required
Desirable Experience:
  • Previous experience delivering construction materials or working in the logistics industry
  • Familiarity with local and regional road networks
  • Good customer service skills
  • Experience using in-vehicle technology and navigation systems
  • Flexibility to cover extra shifts if necessary
