Accounts and Audit Senior Position - A Challenging Opportunity
A dynamic and forward-thinking firm of accountants, Austin Rose Associates, is seeking an experienced Accounts and Audit Senior to join their team.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in audit and accountancy, with a proven track record of leading audits from planning to completion. They will also possess excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage and train junior staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation and submission of statutory accounts, including Limited Companies and LLPs, in accordance with FRS 102 1A.
- Preparation and submission of corporation tax returns, reviewed by the Tax Department.
- Leading audits from planning through to completion, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
- Reviewing the work of semi-senior staff, providing constructive feedback and guidance.
- Direct communication with clients, building strong relationships and providing exceptional customer service.
- Assisting clients with accounts software and other queries, ensuring seamless support.
- Training clients on Cloud software, enhancing their technical skills and knowledge.
- On-the-job training of junior staff, developing their skills and expertise.
Requirements:
- ACA or ACCA qualification, with a strong understanding of accountancy principles and practices.
- Experience of leading audits from planning to completion, with a proven track record of success.
- Ability to lead and manage staff during an audit, ensuring effective teamwork and collaboration.
- Strong skillset across accountancy, including corporate tax, with a working knowledge of ProAudit, Caseware, and Alphatax.
- Experience of external auditing of small and medium-sized enterprises under FRS102, as well as listed corporations under IFRS.
- Ideal candidate will have audited large, consolidated group structures, with a strong understanding of complex financial reporting.
- Passion for the financial services sector, with a strong knowledge of industry trends and developments.
