Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Forklift Driver and Yardperson to join our team at a busy timber mill. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth flow of goods and materials throughout the facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate a side loader forklift to move timber and other materials around the mill
  • Assist with receiving and dispatching goods, including checking inventory and ensuring accurate documentation
  • Participate in maintaining a safe and clean working environment, adhering to all health and safety protocols
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve production targets and meet customer demands

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with a side loader forklift and knowledge of timber products
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
  • Physical stamina to perform manual handling tasks and work in a warehouse environment

What We Offer:

  • A competitive hourly rate of £14.91
  • Regular overtime opportunities
  • A temp-to-perm contract with the possibility of a full-time employed position after 12 weeks
